My son has contributed quite a bit to the restoration efforts of the '53.  He doesn't mind pitching in with the sandblasting cabinet or helping out by spinning a wrench.

Even as a little guy, he was great clean up man.

It was always good to have an expert assistant when I was bleeding brakes.
As a kid, I always was interested in cars and how they worked. Connor inherited that curiousity, and has learned a lot by helping out under the hood.
Most kids his age would be hard pressed to point out even the simplest working components of an engine.  I don't expect him to be a master mechanic, but working on the truck has given him a great idea of the basics.
In the winter of 2006, we pulled the engine for a few upgrades.  Once complete, we painted her up and lowered it back into the truck.
My daughter is more of a fair weather enthusiast.  Here we are taking off for Vermont, headed to a Hemmings Motor News event.
It won't be long before we will be switching seats.  A couple more years and he will be doing the driving.
